A great application of economic theories.

A Master of PhotographyThis book came to my notice by chance and is now one of my treasured texts. There are other brilliant books by Mr. McKenzie that are not listed here, but can be obtained from the author. Gorbals Children a study in Photographs (ISBN0-86267-269-4 Richard Drew Publishing Ltd) is such another.
For anyone interested in photography, and especially Black and White Photography, these are inspirational works of art. Joseph McKenzie is a master behind the lens and an alchemist in the darkroom. His subject matter is a record of the 20th Century.
With photographs in the Victoria & Albert Museum, in the National Portrait Gallery of Scotland, In Dundee City archives and with the Carnegie Trust, why is it we fail to recognise genius in the flesh, and recognise it only when they have passed to dust? Anyone, who considers himself or herself a photographer without these classics - just isn't.

Good news for religion in the public squareMcKenzie covers Ramsey's views on medical and political ethics, and traces his thought back to his Protestant roots. Besides the references to relevant issues like cloning, I guess what I liked the most was the author's final chapter where he made the case that Ramsey's way of doing ethics is a good fit for religious or spiritual people talking about morality today. You don't have to check either your brains or your religious tradition at the door. This is a good read. I do recommend it.

Great book, especially for Kindergartners and First GradersMary Neva Hitt Plano, Texas

An excellent collection of stories.

An excellent book!

A must-read for the rare fewThough rather specific to Australia, the remaining 95% of the book is hilarious & deeply insightful -- usually with the very same comment.
If you will EVER find yourself in a "roommate situation," you need to have this book. Said roomies oughta read it too.

Compulsive reading!
Economics is never more "Alive" than it is in this book. This is one of those rare books that brings a lot of loose ends of economic theories together, in easily understandable language. It puts them in real life situations where they make sense.
You don't know as much about Economics as the readers of this book do. Jeff B.
